MmOTHERS

A Collaboration with TELA+

MmOTHERS, a film blending voice, dance and music, explores the collective memory of generations shaped by the post-Soviet context, from the perestroïka to the 2000s.

Four singers portray mothers, calling for their missing children. Like figures of absence and passing time, they wander about the building, careless and busy, entirely absorbed by their play. The music, a mixture of Slavic folklore, contemporary opera and electronics, follows the choreography inspired by the fragile lightness of childhood.

With MmOTHERS, the company TELA+ gives a voice to the silent memories and asserts its desire to create sensitive forms of art where past, present and bodies resonate with one another.
